Our Story

It started with one girl's story.

In 2015, our founder — then working in a psychiatric hospital — met a young girl who had tried to take her own life twice. Two years earlier, she had been an A-student, topping her class.

Listening to her story surfaced two lessons that still guide everything we build at Sanemind:

  • 1The quality of a child's everyday experiences shapes their mental health in childhood — and follows them into adulthood.
  • 2To raise mentally healthy adults, the parents and schools around them need to understand children's mental health needs too.

Those two lessons became the foundation of Sanemind's work — and they've since carried us to over 1,000,000 people.
